Summer is in full swing and that means breaking out the sandals. Recently, I was introduced to the Cobian brand through my wife who raved about them after receiving a pair as a gift. I decided to give them a try, purchasing a pair of Cobian Floater Sandals, which turned out to be their top selling model for the past 10 years.

Wow, I couldn’t believe how comfortable these were straight out of the box. First, the squishy brushed EVA top-sole has arch support which is something you generally don’t see in this type of shoe.
The straps look like leather but they are actually synthetic (Cobian does make sandals with actual leather straps) and they are also padded for comfort. Unfortunately, Cobian doesn’t offer wide sizes so I took a chance and ordered a size and a half larger to accommodate my duck-like feet. It ended up working out fine.
Beauty is in the eye of beholder, but I feel these Floaters are dressy enough for a day at the beach or a venture into town. Cobian does make more casual styles including their Draino model, which comes in Camo.
CONCLUSION
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. My feet are less fatigued at the end of the day and there’s something to be said for any pair of sandals that can make my gnarly man toes look more attractive.
