I like shooting and I like bags. So the 2 Vets Arms 2VA Prepper Package seems like a match made in heaven. The project is a collaboration between 2 Vets Arms, an up-and-comer in the AR market, and London Bridge Trading who has a reputation for making rock solid gear used by military units around the globe. The package includes the choice of three 2VA rifles (Alpha, LRRP, or Bravo) in three choices of caliber (5.56 NATO, 300BLK, or 6.8 SPC). The LBT/2A Covert is a backpack design.
LBT/2VA Covert Pack
One unique feature is, unlike other rifle bags, the firearm is carried in a separate case that then goes inside the pack. This allows for the discrete removal of the rifle from the pack to make room for other items without brandishing the weapon.
The rifle and mags strap securely inside the case.
The bag also includes other hook and loop pouch inserts to store gear. In event things really go FUBAR, the package includes a Direct Action Response Kit (D.A.R.K.) from Dark Angel Medical.
Since the “bag within a bag” concept and assembly doesn’t facilitate fast access to the rifle, the LBT/2VA Covert Pack includes a zippered pocket within reach in the back panel that can hide a large frame pistol. For concealed carry license holders, like myself, that’s a nice feature.
As I’ve mentioned, my next big gun purchase is an AR and based on 2 Vets Arms and LBT’s stellar reputations, this package is an option I’m strongly considering.
The LBT/2VA Covert Pack is available separately and retails for $325. Its available in Multicam, a number of Kryptek patterns, and my favorite – Urban Wolf. The entire Prepper Package, which includes a 2VA Rifle and the Med Kit, starts at $1,675 and could cost more depending on the options selected.
