Vertx is releasing a second generation line of EDC bags at the 2015 Shot Show. The new bags aesthetically look like the 1st gen bags, but Vertx obviously listened to customer feedback and responded with some new form factors.
The EDC Ready Pack is designed as a versatile daily use backpack. No specs have been released yet, but it looks smaller than the EDC Gamut, which we reviewed last year. Perhaps a downsized version similar to what 5.11 did with the RUSH 12 and 24.

The EDC Essential Bag is a small go bag. This could be an option for those who liked the EDC Courier and Satchel but thought they were too large to be practical for every day carry.

The EDC Transit Sling is a small, low profile single strapped bag. In my opinion, the only viable slings for extended use are small so this should prove to be a nice addition to Vertx’s line up. And if you off-body carry, this could also be a great choice for CCW.

The B-Range Bag is a compact range bag designed for easy storage. The A-Range Bag, with its pull out ammo trays, was fantastic. I gave my Dad one for Christmas and he loves it. But, for some shooters, the A-Range might be overkill if they don’t own a bunch of guns and gear.

The EDC Principle Brief Case is a 3-in-1 that can also be converted to a backpack or sling.
