I have a confession. I’m a border line compulsive neat freak. I’m Felix from the Odd Couple. So one of things I’ve had to do to ensure harmony in my home is to suppress my incessant urge to keep things organized because not everyone in my family (especially my kids) is on that same page. Even so, I still like to keep my own kit in order and the Red Oxx Travel Basket is helping me do just that.

The Red Oxx Travel Basket is a padded coin valet that is large enough to be a catchall for the various items that many of us carry around – like a cell phone, wallet, keys, money clip, etc. It’s made from abrasion resistant urethane coated 1000D Condura nylon with quarter inch Volara closed cell foam padding on the bottom and sides.
Like most people, I vary what I carry depending on the situation and what is appropriate but the Travel Basket has the capacity to hold most of what I swap in and out of my Every Day Carry (EDC) that doesn’t always go in a pack. Size wise, it doesn’t take up a lot of dresser space and therefore I use it at home and when I travel.

For travel, the corners unsnap and the basket folds flat (10.5″L x 8″W x 1/4″H) for easy storage in checked luggage or a carry-on bag.

For example, it fits nicely in the outer slash pocket of the GoRuck GR1 backpack. The khaki is almost an exact color match to GoRuck’s coyote (see the pictures below). It would obviously also match up with Red Oxx’s other products sold in Khaki.
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the Travel Basket. It looks great and with it’s rugged build, it will probably outlast most of the items I store in it. The Red Oxx Travel Basket is available in a wide variety of colors exclusively from Red Oxx’s website and retails for $20.
